Dispute or report public content

BeforeYouRent is designed around structured, factual rental building information. Public content must avoid private personal information, threats, harassment, discriminatory language, and unverified accusations.

Use this page to report inaccurate info, privacy concerns, abusive content, duplicates, legal/safety issues, or other public content problems. Every request is queued for moderation review before any redaction, removal, or response decision is made.

Do not include private submitter contact details, private evidence links, exact unit numbers, passwords, or unrelated personal information. We store dispute requests as moderator-only flags and do not publish who submitted them.

ReasonChoose the closest triage category; moderators can still review edge cases under “Other.”
  • Inaccurate info: Facts, dates, amounts, address details, or summaries appear incorrect.
  • Privacy concern: Private or identifying information may be exposed.
  • Abusive content: Harassment, threats, hate, or discriminatory content.
  • Duplicate: The same building/report appears more than once.
  • Legal/safety: Legal risk, safety issue, or urgent harm concern.
  • Other: Anything else that needs moderation triage.

What happens after you submit?

  • A private moderation flag is created for moderator review.
  • Content is not automatically removed, edited, or publicly replied to.
  • Moderators may redact, remove, reject, or preserve public content based on the content policy.
